COMMENTS
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Any one can make a comment. You do not have to be registered or logged in, to comment. Comment author must fill out name and email. Your first name is sufficient. If you have a public profile, the name on your profile will be used with your comment. Your email address will not be published, so that anyone can have access to it.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so the system will recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. The commenter’s initial comment will be held in moderation queue and must be manually approved. Comment author must have a previously approved comment for their follow-up comment to automatically post. Any comment containing a link will be held in moderation queue and subsequently deleted. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Please do not use the comment section to advertise other sites or services or as your own personal blog. Those comments will be moved to the spam folder and will not be manually approved. Any attempt at posting another comment after that, will be thwarted by the spam detection service. When a person leaves a comment an automated email is sent to the admin that a comment has been made.
GRAVATAR
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. What is a Gravatar? It is an avatar, which is an image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on avatar enabled sites. This is a Gravatar enabled site. If you do not have an avatar, a ‘mystery person’ graphic will appear in its place on the blog post’s comment, when you leave a comment.
